Houses

As the foundation of our care of people, every member of staff and each student belongs to one of the six College Houses – Glover, McAuley, Quinn, Rice, Ryan, Wallace.

The Houses have an integral role in the life of the College serving both as pastoral units and as important vehicles for co-curriculum activities. The Houses compete for Champion House in Academics, Swimming, Cross Country, Athletics and Cultural Activities including House Choir.

 


Glover House is named in honour of Miss Margaret Glover, a long serving teacher and Principal of the former Our Lady’s Primary School near St Joseph’s Cathedral.

The Dean of Glover House is Ms Patricia Cumming. House Captains are Clare Webb and Brady Mayne.

 

McAuley House is named in honour of the Venerable Catherine McAuley who founded the Religious Congregation of the Sisters of Mercy in Ireland on December 12 1831.

The Dean of McAuley House is Mrs Megan Grove. House Captains are Elizabeth Crow and Matthew Stanke.

 


Quinn House is named in honour of Brother Luke Quinn, the last Christian Brother Principal of St Joseph’s Christian Brothers’ College.

The Dean of Quinn House is Ms Andrea Collins. House Captains are Georgie Crawford and Lachlan Hall. 

 


Rice House is named in honour of Blessed Edmund Rice who founded the Religious Congregation of the Christian Brothers in Ireland in the early 1800s.

The Dean of Rice House is Mr Grant Williams. House Captains are Courtney Hall and Marcus Small.

 


Ryan House is named in honour of Sister Mary Andrina Ryan, the last Sister of Mercy Principal of the Range College.

The Dean of Ryan House is Mr Bernie Parle. House Captains are Patria Lynch and Zachariah Maher.

 


Wallace House is named in honour of Bishop Bernard Wallace who gave the approval for the founding of the College.

The Dean of Wallace House is Mr Kevin Chopping. House Captains are April Randles and Justin Rodgers.
