It was the perfect start to the holidays for Year 10 and 11 students who volunteered to be companions to our special guests on a mission of fun at the TCC Sony Children’s Holiday Camp! Thirty students and 10 children with a range of abilities joined in scavenger hunt, indoor activities, cake decorating, card playing, movies, colouring-in, Bubbles and the Afternoon Fair with the Super Slide and Teacup and Saucer Ride made possible through the College’s Youth Ministry, coordinated by Miss Jacinta Taske and Miss Grace Griffin.
Miss Taske said the Camp is about making great memories for children who have difficult and challenging life circumstances, especially as Christmas draws near and provides respite for their families as well.
“The best thing is to see the happiness and the joy shared together”
“And their families really appreciate it”
“TCC’s Sony Camp has been a firm favourite for TCC students in their senior years for many years. It definitely is something the students take with them for life and hopefully the children do too,” Miss Taske said.
