What an incredible legacy!
Today was about so much more than a haircut.
More than 60 of our Year 12 students took part in Rock the Chop, coming together to support the Ponytail Project and raise funds for those affected by cancer. As their departing gift to the College, our seniors embraced the opportunity to give back, and what an incredible impact they have made.
Cancer touches the lives of so many families in our community, making today's event especially meaningful. It was inspiring to see our students rally together, support one another and step outside their comfort zones in support of such an important cause.
Together, the Class of 2026 has raised just shy of $60,000. More than an impressive fundraising total, this is a legacy of kindness, courage and compassion that will continue to make a difference long after they leave our gates.
The College extends its sincere thanks to Linda and Belinda from Cancer Council Queensland for joining us today and helping make the occasion so special.
We are incredibly proud of every student who donated, fundraised, shaved, or cut their hair. Their willingness to help others is a reflection of the incredible young people they have become.
While Rock the Chop may be over for another year, the fundraising effort continues. The donation link remains open for anyone wishing to support the Class of 2026 as they strive to reach the remarkable $60,000 milestone.
Congratulations, Year 12. What an amazing way to leave your mark on TCC.
