Celebrating Academic Excellence

The Cathedral College community gathered on Friday evening to celebrate the outstanding achievements, leadership and commitment of students at the 2026 Academic Awards Evening.

More than 190 students were recognised across a range of academic, leadership, service and special award categories, reflecting the many ways our students strive to achieve their personal best. The evening also celebrated our highest academic performers, recipients of prestigious College awards, and the contributions of students who embody our College values.

A highlight of the evening was the recognition of staff member Miss Grace Griffin, who received statewide recognition through the Queensland College of Teachers TEACHX Awards for her outstanding contribution to school and community life. Guests were also inspired by special guest speaker and TCC graduate Ellie Sutton (Class of 2017), who reflected on the lasting impact of her education at The Cathedral College.

Congratulations to all students recognised on the evening and thank you to our families, staff and guests for helping make the event such a special celebration.
