On Friday 2 February, our College celebrated the start of the school year at the Opening College Mass and Commissionings at St Joseph's Cathedral. Celebrated by Bishop Michael McCarthy, Fr. Samuel and Deacon Peter our community came together both in the Cathedral and via the livestream to be part of this special occasion.
The Mass was an opportunity for our students to offer their intention to respond to the invitation to live life in all its fullness and pray that we will all grow together in knowledge, wisdom and understanding through the mystery of the Eucharist.
As a College we are very thankful to all the parents, family members and special guests who joined in the Mass, to encourage our Year 12s as they commence their last year of schooling. This special morning included commissioning of our College Leadership Team, College Captains and Vice Captains, Teachers, Staff, all students and the presentation of Senior badges to our Year 12 students.
Thank you to our Music Ministry for sharing their gifts of singing and their instrumental talent which uplifted this very special celebration. Also a special thanks to our new Deputy Principal: Mission Mr Pat Egan who prepared the Liturgy.
