Our Girls Confraternity team will defend their Shield title against rivals St Patrick's College, Mackay in a grand final rematch to be played at Queensland Country Bank Stadium, Townville, in the curtain raiser to the women’s State of Origin decider on Thursday. Last year our team defeated St Patrick’s 14-10 in Brisbane.
To secure our berth in this year’s final, TCC defeated Mt Maria College, Mitchelton 4-0 in a gripping semi-final played in wet conditions on Tuesday after winning their three pool games against Rockhampton Grammar School 26-0, Marymount College, Burleigh Waters 12-4, and St Joseph’s College, Toowoomba 22-6.
